Aircraft Finance and Valuation
The Arvai Group provides full aircraft appraisal and valuation services, including aircraft inspections, appraisals of fair market value, estimates of future values and end of lease residual values, and expert opinions on aircraft and their marketability. Our appraisal experience includes valuation of virtually every commercial jet airliner, regional jet and commuter airliner, corporate and business jet aircraft, and aircraft engines, as well as spare parts. We also provide valuation of aviation related facilities, including terminal buildings, hangars, and maintenance facilities. Some example engagements include:
Assisting a regional airline organization in evaluating the feasibility of establishing a new aircraft leasing company in conjunction with three major financial institutions. We recommended implementation of the concept, which was carried forward by several members of the organization.
Assisting an insurance company in modeling an innovative insurance transaction that backstops lease rentals on a fleet of regional aircraft. Our results indicated that a substantially modification in the terms of that transaction was appropriate to protect the interests of our client, and those modifications were made prior to closing.
We routinely work with several financial institutions to estimate the fair market value of their investment portfolios on an on-going basis. Our proprietary aircraft valuation methodology uses scenario analysis to provide early warning on the impact of industry changes on aircraft and engine values.
